About Kathie Bailey
Kathie Bailey is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in Minneapolis MN. She has specialized in work with imagery and dreams throughout her 35 year career in human services. Her voice has been a trustworthy guide for hundreds of people. She has an extraordinary ability to understand the symbolism of imagery and help people use imagery for healing and growth.
Kathie has also been a Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner for over 25 years. Through her extensive work with the mind-body connection, she understands how the unconscious influences emotions, health, and behavior. She has helped many people cope with or recover from health problems and achieve optimum health.
Creativity for healing is another area in which Kathie has training and experience. She has worked with imagery through healing art, art therapy, and other expressive therapies. She helps people tap into their own creativity to find the right pathway to their goal.
After receiving feedback from clients for years about how helpful and relaxing her guided imagery is, Kathie decided to offer custom guided imagery recordings. She noticed that guided imagery used in session, tailored to the specific needs of each individual was more effective than general guided imagery CDs. While recording, Kathie can intuitively sense just the right tone and words that a person most needs to hear.
Kathie understands the process of change—whether it is internally motivated or driven by changing life circumstances. She has observed the change process in countless clients and in her own life. She skillfully assists people in successfully making change.
Her active spiritual life infuses her work without ever imposing her viewpoint on others. Kathie firmly believes that each individual’s unique blueprint for wellbeing lies within. She is gifted in helping people access their true direction of growth and change.
Kathie has published articles and given presentations and workshops on guided imagery, the mind-body connection, and the healing power of creativity. She is a member of Minnesota Women in Psychology, and the local and national Clinical Social Work Societies.
